The settlement plate is a monitoring system that can be installed within reasonable budgets in areas subjected to high vertical deformation.

The system includes a base plate, reference rods, and couplings used to connect them. System components can be assembled within minutes to monitor settlement of many structures such as dams, transportation structures, engineered fills, levees, and foundations. The settlement plate system can be used together with other monitoring systems for deformation monitoring.

Order Details

Please specify, together with your order, the required base plate and the total number of reference rods (each 1 m in length) calculated in accordance with the fill heights at each location.

The base plate is supplied with a special connection fitting and a special external protective section with a length of L = 0.5 m to be fixed at the base interface.

Easy Installation And Operation

After the base plate is connected to one end of the reference rod, it is placed on the planned surface, and the top elevation of the rod is measured using an independent reference point. The base plate is then gradually covered and raised with fill material, and elevation measurements continue as the reference rods are added step by step together with the fill.

After completion of the fill construction, the elevation of the guide rod top is measured once again, and measurements are periodically repeated to monitor the settlement behavior of the structure.
