Explanation
The spot weld strain gauge consists of a coil housing to which two small plucking coils are fixed and two end flanges joined by a pipe. The vibrating wire of VW spot weldable strain gauge is stretched between two end blocks that are spot welded to the surface of the steel element. The wire is tuned to vibrate at its resonant frequency. This frequency depends on the wire tension, which will change as the tension of the steel element. To obtain long-term healthy readings, the spot welded surface must be sanded flat and then welded. The strain gauge is equipped with a temperature device to compensate for temperature changes.
Model
Standard
Standard Model Vibrating Wire point source strain gauges are designed to measure stress in steel structures such as bridges, piles, tunnel linings, and buildings.
Heavy Duty Type
Other Model VW spot weldable strain gauges are more useful in case of any restriction in the working area. The measuring range of this model is 5000με.
