Extensometers
Tape-X Digital Tape Extensometer
Digital tape extensometers are used to measure relative displacement between two fixed points in space. Basically, displacement values are recorded by tensioning a steel tape device combined with a digital dial indicator between anchored reference points. Tape extensometers are frequently used to monitor the displacement behavior of various structures, including but not limited to the convergence of circular or nearcircular tunnel openings, displacements in shafts and mine galleries, slopes, viaducts, and bridge piers.
