Extensometers and Crack Meters
Crack Tracers:
The Crack Tracer system can be used for the numerical monitoring of geotechnical and structural elements prone to deformation. It is a monitoring system that can be installed within minutes to monitor deformation in real time in beams, columns, retaining walls, tunnel linings, natural and artificial slopes, and many other applications.
Crack Tracer is a robust deformation monitoring system with an accuracy of 0.1% of full scale. It does not require expertise for installation or operation; even an inexperienced user can start taking readings within minutes thanks to its plug-and-play design with LCD display.
Crack Tracer is equipped with an innovative snap-on magnetic reference system that enables easy installation.
Measurement Range | 30 mm |
Analog / Digital Conversion Resolution | 10 bit |
Supply Voltage (GA-CM-RO) | 9 V DC (Battery) |
Material | Aluminum enclosure for GA-CM-30, |
Dimensions | 128 × 138 × 48 mm (GA-CM-RO), |
Cable Length | 3 m standard PVC-jacketed 4 × 0.25 mm² shielded cable. |
After the positions of the screws and bolts are determined along the dominant deformation axis, the CrackTracer is installed and fixed. The reference point is adjusted using magnetic bases, and a portable data acquisition system is easily connected. When the unit is powered on, the initial reference displacement reading displayed on the screen is recorded. The 9 V battery input can also be used to obtain readings from other elements of the CrackTracer array using the same data acquisition unit.
