The Divriği Great Mosque in Sivas is one of Turkey’s most significant historic monuments and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Within the scope of the comprehensive restoration project carried out for this cultural heritage structure, a dedicated monitoring system was developed to ensure that conservation processes were based on scientific principles and that structural safety was maintained during intervention works.

High-precision strain gauge sensors, together with multi-channel data acquisition unit systems operating in integration with these sensors, were specifically designed by the GeoAnts engineering team for installation on the temporary steel support elements used during the restoration process. Through this system, the loads carried by the support elements and the resulting stress distributions transferred to the structure were continuously monitored, thereby providing scientific, data-driven support to both structural preservation and operational safety throughout the restoration works.
